Requirements

Technical Tracks

Choose from one of two technical tracks:

No-code Prototype

  • No coding needed, just show us your idea visually, like a PowerPoint and Figma. Thereโ€™s a Figma workshop on at 9:45-10:45 -- weโ€™ll guide you to the room.
  • Example: If your idea is an AI-powered mobile app, you can use Figma to design the UI/UX and walk us through how it works. If your idea involves multiple surfaces, e.g. robots, you can also design on paper to show how it works.

Code Prototype

  • Build a simple version of your idea: a product that demonstrates at least one AI technique.
  • Example of a bare-bones app demo: code that doesn't necessarily need a working user interface -- just show us the logic of it working, e.g. run the code and sample tests/inputs, and show us the output in the terminal
  • Examples of AI techniques: Natural language processing, data-handling, computer vision, machine learning, and much more.
  • You may use LLaMa or other open-source AI models to speed up coding your prototype, but you donโ€™t have to. There is a recording of the LLaMa workshop from Wednesday.
  • Your prototype doesnโ€™t have to be complete. We just want to see your first version, your concept brought to life. You can demo your product as a video.

Challenge Tracks

Propose and build an AI tool that addresses one of these 6 challenges in gender inequality

  1. Health
  2. Gender pay gap
  3. Power and influence
  4. Unpaid work
  5. Education
  6. Gender based violence

What to Submit

Submit to DevPost:

Must-have 2 things:

  • 1) Pitchdeck (in pdf or pptx format) AND
  • 2) Figma link/sketches OR Code, depending on your chosen technical track
    • No-code track: Figma link OR paper sketches with notations about how the design components work & interact with each other
    • Code track: Zipped folder OR Github repo link to your code

Optional 3) video link showing how your product works.

In either technical track, you will be presenting your pitchdeck to the judges to show how your idea and product work.

Pitchdeck template

  1. Title Slide: Product name, team name and members, challenge track, and technical track.
  2. Problem and Target Audience: Clearly define the gender inequality issue that your product addresses. Detail the specific user group affected by the problem.
  3. Solution Overview: Introduce your AI-powered solution and its key features.
  4. AI Implementation: Discuss the AI technologies and/or methodologies employed.
  5. User Experience: Showcase the user interface and interaction flow.
    • No-code track: Figma / sketch demo
    • Code track: Product demo (can be video)
  6. Impact and Vision: Outline the anticipated outcomes and benefits of your solution.
